A warm, comfortable Okanagan living room — the payoff of a well-insulated home

Insulation rebates

Up to $5,500 back on a warmer home.

Insulation is one of the few upgrades the province actively pays you to do. As a registered Home Performance Contractor, we make sure you capture every dollar you qualify for.

The programs

Four ways to pay less for your upgrade.

Many homeowners stack provincial and federal programs. Here’s what’s on the table — we’ll tell you exactly which ones fit during your free assessment.

Up to $5,500

CleanBC Energy Savings Program

Income-qualified rebates covering 60–95% of eligible insulation upgrades. You must hire a Home Performance Contractor Network member to qualify — we are one.

Per R-value added

BC Hydro Home Renovation Rebate

Rebates calculated on the R-value of new insulation, including cases where old insulation was removed due to pests or mould.

Gas-heated homes

FortisBC Rebates

Insulation rebates for FortisBC customers upgrading attics, walls and crawlspaces to cut heating costs.

Federal grant

Canada Greener Homes

Federal support to make Canadian homes more energy efficient, stackable with provincial programs in many cases.

Rebate amounts, eligibility and program availability are set by CleanBC, BC Hydro, FortisBC and the Government of Canada and can change. Final qualification is confirmed with each program — we’ll walk you through the current requirements.

How it works

We make rebates the easy part.

  1. 1

    Free assessment

We visit your home, check what’s there now, and identify the upgrades that qualify for the biggest rebates.

  2. 2

    We match the programs

Based on your income, home and heating, we line up the CleanBC, BC Hydro, FortisBC and federal programs you’re eligible for.

  3. 3

We do the work — and the paperwork

Our crew installs to the required standard, and we handle the documentation so your rebate actually gets approved.

Rebate questions

What insulation rebates can I get in Kelowna and the Okanagan?
Depending on your home and income, you may qualify for the CleanBC Energy Savings Program (60–95% off, up to $5,500), the BC Hydro Home Renovation Rebate, FortisBC rebates and the Canada Greener Homes grant. As a Home Performance Contractor Network member, Okanagan Insulation can tell you what you qualify for and handle the paperwork.
How much can new attic insulation save me?
Attics are where homes lose the most heat, so topping up attic insulation is usually the highest-return upgrade. The exact savings depend on your current R-value and heating system — we provide a free assessment and an honest estimate before any work starts.
